If you violate these Terms, LotusEvents.lk may terminate your use of the Site, bar you from future use of the Site, cancel your ticket order, and/or take appropriate legal action against you.
Terms and Conditions of Service for Customers
Our goal is to provide a simple and efficient way to buy tickets or register for events online. By purchasing tickets or registering for events via LotusEvents.lk, you agree to the following terms and conditions with LotusEvents.lk and all associated intellectual property.
Definitions
- “LotusEvents.lk” refers to the legal entity operating the LotusEvents.lk website.
- “Website” refers to the online sales portal www.lotusevents.lk or any other electronic domains provided by LotusEvents.lk for the sale of tickets, including all webpages, subdomains, and subparts accessed via various devices now or in the future.
- “Customer” refers to any individual or organization using the Website to purchase or attempt to purchase goods or services, including tickets, delegate passes, vouchers, or similar products.
- “Organizer” refers to any individual, partnership, or organization responsible for organizing, promoting, and delivering any event or offering sold or provided free of charge to the Customer via the Website.
- “Event” refers to any event, such as entertainment, education, business, sports, family, religious, or other events, promoted, advertised, and sold via the Website.
- “Ticket” refers to any form of paid or complimentary entrance voucher, whether a physical ticket, voucher, pass, wristband, or an electronic ticket such as a barcode, QR code, or reference number identifying the holder as authorized to access a specific Event.
- “Services” refers to services provided by LotusEvents.lk to the Organizer regarding the Event, including advertising and promoting the Event on the Website, providing an online portal for ticket purchases, delivering tickets to customers, collecting payments, registering customer information, and any other agreed services.
Ticket Purchase Policy
- Tickets purchased on the Website are non-refundable except in limited circumstances described in the Refunds Policy.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged except in limited circumstances described in the Refunds Policy.
- Tickets cannot be transferred to third parties except immediate family members and friends, and never for a price higher than the original purchase price. tickets are intended for the named buyer or their immediate family or friends. Reselling tickets for a price higher than the original purchase price will result in ticket cancellation without a refund.
- Customers are advised against purchasing LotusEvents.lk-branded tickets from secondary ticketing websites or online selling sites like eBay, as these tickets may be invalid or canceled.
- LotusEvents.lk may require proof of original ticket purchase at event entry, such as a photo ID (passport, driver’s license, national ID card) and/or the original credit/debit card used for the purchase. If multiple tickets are purchased for the same event, all members of the party should enter together.
- Customers are responsible for protecting their tickets from loss or theft. LotusEvents.lk does not replace or refund lost or stolen tickets, including electronic and printed tickets. If an electronic ticket is copied or stolen and used before the Customer's entry, the Customer will be refused entry without a refund. Protect electronic tickets as carefully as physical ones.
- Generally, payment is made in full at the time of purchase, and tickets are emailed shortly after the transaction. If a ticket is purchased fraudulently, LotusEvents.lk reserves the right to cancel the ticket without a refund.
Ticket Usage Policy and Attendance at the Event
- Customers must check for entry restrictions (eg: age, dress code) before purchasing a ticket. LotusEvents.lk is not liable and will not refund tickets if entry is declined by the organizer for any reason.
- All tickets are subject to the venue and event rules and regulations. customers must familiarize themselves with and abide by these rules.
- Organizers and venue management reserve the right to conduct security searches and refuse entry to ensure safety and security.
- If a customer is ejected from an event, they are not entitled to a refund.
- Many venues have a “no re-entry” policy. Customers should familiarize themselves with this policy before entering. No refunds will be issued for re-entry refusal.
- The venue or Organizer may restrict items brought into the event (eg: food, beverages, cameras). LotusEvents.lk is not liable and will not refund tickets if entry is denied for bringing restricted items. Confiscated items are not the responsibility of LotusEvents.lk.
- LotusEvents.lk, the venue and the Organizer are not responsible for lost or stolen items or injuries at the event.
- Customers are responsible for attending the event on the correct date and time. LotusEvents.lk is not liable for any loss due to failure to check the event date and time. If an event is canceled or postponed, refunds may be offered as per the Refunds Policy.
- Failure to attend an event does not entitle the customer to a refund.
- Late arrival may result in denied entry. No refunds will be issued for latecomers.
- Events may have a “last admission” time. It is the customer’s responsibility to check this time. No refunds for late entry.
- Unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment is generally prohibited. Check with the Organizer and venue.
- By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be photographed, filmed or recorded by the organizer, venue management or their agents, and waive all rights to such recorded material. This material may be used without restriction, approval or compensation to you.
Ticket Delivery and Collection Policy
- LotusEvents.lk issues tickets electronically as PDF files via email. Customers must provide a correct email address and check their inbox for the ticket PDF, which can be printed for entry.
- Some events may offer ticket delivery via SMS or email for a small fee.
- For certain events, the electronic ticket must be exchanged for a printed ticket at a collection booth near the event entrance. Customers must provide:
- A printed copy of the electronic ticket or the ticket/booking number (mandatory).
- Valid photo identification (original, not a copy) such as a driving license, National Identity Card (NIC) or passport.
